Southern Miss dominates Millsaps 81-47 behind Magee's 18
Tyree Griffin had nine assists, and he and freshman Ladarius Marshall added 10 points apiece for the Golden Eagles, who held the Majors to 31 percent shooting and outscored them 44-24 in the paint.
The Golden Eagles led 32-7 after an 18-0 run, at one point outshooting Millsaps 67 percent to 18. Ladavius Draine's back-to-back jumpers put Southern Miss up by 32 points midway through the second half and all 13 Golden Eagles who suited up saw court time.
Southern Miss (7-2) scored 25 points off of 18 turnovers and is off to its best start since the 2011-12 season. The Golden Eagles start a six-game road swing on Saturday.
Newton Gillihan scored 12 points and Justin Van Pelt added 11 for the Majors.
