Radford pulls away late, beats William & Mary 81-72
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Carlik Jones scored 21 points and Radford finished on a 12-4 surge to beat William & Mary 81-72 on Tuesday night.
Donald Hicks sparked the late run with a 3-pointer from the top of the arc to stretch Radford's lead to 72-68 with 5:18 remaining. The Highlanders (4-1) held William & Mary (1-4) from hitting a single field goal over the final 4:49, and blocked two shots and forced a turnover to secure the win.
Nathan Knight scored 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting and had nine rebounds to lead William & Mary. Chase Audige added 14 points and Jihar Williams had 10.
