UTEP stops losing streak at 4, beats Tulsa 64-55

EL PASO, Texas (AP) John Bohannon scored 16 points and UTEP stopped its four-game losing streak with a 64-55 win over Tulsa on Wednesday night.

Michael Perez had 14 points and Julian Washburn scored 13 for the Miners (11-13, 4-6 Conference USA), who also ended Tulsa's winning streak at seven games. UTEP jumped to a 6-0 lead and never trailed. The Miners missed all four of their 3-point tries but shot 48 percent from the outside.

Jordan Clarkson led Tulsa with 16 points. The Golden Hurricane (14-10, 7-3) trails Southern Mississippi in Conference USA, having started the conference season 0-2 before winning its next seven.

Scottie Haralson added 13 points and Eric McClellan scored 12 points for Tulsa.
