Brown leads ETSU over James Madison 70-56
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) Isiah Brown scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds and tallied five steals in 20 minutes to lead East Tennessee State over James Madison 70-56 on Monday night.
ETSU, which came in ranked third in the country with 10.1 steals per game, and grabbed 18 from James Madison, which turned it over 23 times. The Buccaneers scored 21 points off those turnovers, which along with 40 points in the paint, helped lead them to 52.9-percent shooting from the field (27 of 51).
The Buccaneers also outrebounded the Dukes 30-25, and outscored them 19-7 on second-chance points.
The Dukes' turnovers helped negate shooting 45.7 percent from the field (21 of 46).
