Furman beats The Citadel 67-58
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Colin Reddick led three players in double-figures as Furman beat The Citadel 67-58 on Saturday night for the Paladins second straight win.
The Citadel led throughout the first 15 minutes of the game before Furman took its first lead, 27-26, behind a 3-pointer from David Brown.
Furman (11-10, 5-5 Southern Conference) would then take a 36-30 lead into halftime and push that lead to nine, 49-40, with 14:04 left in the second half. The Citadel rallied to cut the deficit to three, 59-56, but Furman finished the game on an 8-2 run, creating the final margin.
Mike Groselle led The Citadel (4-17, 1-9) with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Groselle was 10 of 12 from the field and 4 of 5 from the charity stripe but no other Bulldog scored more than six points.
