Texas-Arlington defeats Texas-Pan American 83-56

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) Bradley Gay scored 17 points and Bo Ingram added 12 to lead Texas-Arlington to an 83-56 victory against Texas-Pan American on Thursday night.

LaMarcus Reed and Jorge Redmon had 11 points each for the Mavericks (7-5). Jordan Reves collected nine points and 11 rebounds.

Brandon Provost scored 20 points and Ruben Cabrera added 12 points and six rebounds for the Broncs (4-11), who shot just 31.8 percent (14 of 44) from the floor.

Reed's layup at the halftime buzzer gave Texas-Arlington a 42-31 lead, and the Mavericks used a 19-6 run over the first seven minutes of the second half to take permanent control. Gay and Ingram each hit a 3-pointer during the surge.

Kevin Butler had 10 rebounds for Texas-Arlington.
