Manhattan defeats Fordham 81-47

RIVERDALE, N.Y. (AP) George Beamon had 15 points, including going a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, to lead five double-figure scorers for Manhattan in an 81-47 rout of Fordham on Wednesday night.

Emmy Andujar added 14 points, Michael Alvarado 12 and the Jaspers (6-4) got 10 apiece from DeCarlos Anderson and Liam McCabe-Moran. Each double-figure scorer connected on at least one 3-pointer for the Jaspers, who hit 9 of 19 (47.4 percent) from long range.

The Rams shot just 3 of 17 (17.6 percent) from 3-point range.

Beamon took the game into his own hands right from the get-go, draining a pair of 3-pointers and adding a layup for an 8-0 opening run for Manhattan.

The Jaspers led the entire contest, took an 11-point lead at the break and outscored Fordham 45-22 in the second half to seal it.

Devon McMillan led Fordham (3-4) with 12 points.
