Georgia State routs South Carolina State 85-54

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) Eric Buckner scored 21 points as Georgia State routed South Carolina State 85-54 Tuesday night for the Panthers' fourth straight win.

Georgia State (4-3), shot 62.5 percent from the floor in the first half (20 of 32) en route to a 51-27 halftime lead. Although the Panthers cooled to 41.2 percent in the second half (14 of 34), that was still much better than the Bulldogs, who shot only 28.1 percent (9 of 32) after the break.

Buckner finished 9 of 11 from the field and also had eight rebounds. Devonta White, who hit three 3-pointers in the first 4:20, finished with 17 points and six assists.

The winning streak is Georgia State's longest since the end of the 2008-09 season and the Panthers are allowing an average of just 50.3 points per game during their winning streak.

Brandon Riley led South Carolina State (4-3) with 22 points.
