BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) Will Sheehey scored 15 points, leading four Indiana players in double figures as the Hoosiers blew out Gardner-Webb 73-49 on Monday night.

For the first time in school history, the Hoosiers (5-0) have beaten each of their first five opponents by 20 or more points.

Gardner-Webb (2-3) was led by Max Landis with 18 points and Jason Dawson with 14.

Indiana broke to a 19-4 lead, then bogged down as the Runnin' Bulldogs closed to within 31-23 late in the first half.

But the Hoosiers' defense clamped down in the second half, holding Gardner-Webb to only one basket in the first 8 1/2 minutes. That gave Indiana a chance to take control. The Hoosiers went on a 23-4 run to make it 59-29, and the Bulldogs never threatened again.
