Davidson takes down Richmond 74-61

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) Jack Cohen led four Davidson players in double figures as the Wildcats took down Richmond 74-61 on Monday night.

Cohen scored 20 points, De'Mon Brooks recorded 14, Chris Czerapowicz added 13 and JP Kuhlman tallied 11 for Davidson (2-0).

After two Czerapowicz free throws tied the game 23-23, Davidson used a 14-5 run to go into halftime with a 37-28 lead.

Richmond (1-1) pulled within nine points of the lead, 47-38, behind an Anthony Kendall free throw but didn't get any closer as Davidson used another run to take a 64-52 lead with 5:00 left to play.

Cedrick Lindsay and Kendall Anthony each scored 17 points for Richmond, but no other player scored more than six points for the Spiders.

Davidson shot 40.4 percent (21 of 52) from the field and made 86.7 percent (26 of 30) of their free throws. The Wildcats outrebounded Richmond 39-27.
