San Francisco defeats Northern Arizona 69-50

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Michael Williams had 16 points and Cole Dickerson added 12 as San Francisco defeated Northern Arizona 69-50 in the Hilltop Challenge on Saturday night.

Angelo Caloiaro had seven points and 11 rebounds for the Dons (1-1).

Colin Gruber scored 14 points and Danny Cheeck 13 for the Lumberjacks (0-2).

A three-point play by Dickerson sparked a 16-4 run by the Dons over a stretch of 8:30 in the second half. Two free throws by Rashad Green culminated the surge, which gave San Francisco a 50-36 cushion with 7:30 remaining.

Green had 11 points.
